State of Texas does not allow us to care for kids younger than 6 weeks. For typically developing children when they turn one I phase my kids out. My environment is catered to infants and severe sn kids. Toddlers have very different needs and need much more space and different gear. I have learned the hard way it is almost impossible to focus on feeding an infant while a toddler is climbing the walls literally. At least 1 month notice will be given.
State of Texas goes by developmental age not chronological age when deciding how many children I can care for. If your child has complex medical needs but is non mobile (NOT walking), and non-verbal, cognitively not needing more formal toddler education, so essentially an infant, I will be happy to discuss care.
I am well aware there is discussion that insurance companies are trying to require that parents or some caregiver is there while a nurse is on shift which if enacted will be detrimental to so many parents. But I don't have enough room to make that accommodation.
It really depends on the medication to be honest. I am open to discussing that. Any rescue medications and PRN meds of course, scheduled will need to be discussed ahead of time. I am not bound by a nursing license but there are just some meds more than others that can just be asking for problems if there isn't a solid system in place between parent and provider.
Yes I do. I bill you through Paypal and will include my tax id number on the invoice all completed electronically.
The State of Texas classifies ratios based on developmental age, and any caregiver that doesn't is in violation of that. Since both my sons are technically developmentally under 18 months of age they take up 2 of my 4 slots. Texas allows a max of 4 infants 18m and under. At max I can only add two daycare kids to my roster at a time since I only take children with a developmental age 12m and under. No more than 4 kids.
It depends, I do have a lift and if truly non mobile and can safely be carried in a lift for transfers, changing, etc. I am open to kiddos up to pre teen age. But if your child is on the edge of being a very active toddler and getting over 25lbs and not a good candidate for using the ceiling lift, then those kiddos I cannot care for. Thank you for understanding I must protect my back to care for my own two kids for life.
Yes, yes, and yes. Licensed with the Stated of Texas as a Registered in-Home Daycare. First aid and CPR certified and so is Joe. Background checks are also required regularly.
Only for the week. We already have our 2 fridges pretty full.
I have two boys with food allergies and restrictions, so I am well aware of the problems associated with most facilities not truly being open to those restrictions. I am also very understanding of food sensitivities and how parents may find especially for their sn kids certain foods don't sit well with them even if not an allergy and something a physician may not write a letter for. Very open to discussions on alternatives if needed.
Yes. For infants that are not allergic to milk I provide Natures Only Whey formulation powdered formula while in care. Infant food is organic with no fillers. Once they start eating real food I use almost exclusively Serenity Kids.

No I have found it isn't worth the headache to hire even a part time assistant. My partner Joe is here for the most part since his career has him working from home and gets recruited sometimes more toward the end of the day after he has logged off. You will see him around or answering the door at times.
(1) outfit, diapers, (1) pack of wipes, (1) bottle (1 week) of formula if special. All of it stays here. No need to bring a heavy bag and remember to pack it daily. Just bring the child. I try to keep it simple for my sleep deprived parents rushing out the door. I provide the food unless there is a specialty formula or breastmilk.
Only late fee I have is $1 per minute late at pickup. I will bill you electronically. I you don't pay your tuition by Sunday night, you can't drop off your child. I have a zero-tolerance policy on that.
App to be announced soon.

I do not require families to pay a fee to stay on the wait list. But I am happy to meet you even if you aren't starting anytime soon, so you can solidify your short list early enough in the pregnancy while you still have energy.
I actually recommend moms and dads contact me early on. I have had too many parents call me back earlier than expected because the baby had other plans and came 2-8 weeks early.
Well reality is if I am really sick I will not be open. I cannot care for 4 kids if I am really sick and I don't want to pass on even more germs to your fragile nugget. I will credit that time and role it into the next months care. But I also ask that parents not bring their sick baby, because if the baby is sick that means I get sick and even if you save a day now you will likely lose a day later when it spreads through the daycare and gets you a week or two later. So be mindful of that.
